That the said Treasurer pay to Capt. Richard Waters twenty
five pounds, ten shillings and six pence and Ensign William Golds-
borough twenty two pounds, six shillings and three pence specie out
of the money that came from the Havana, put into the Treasury by
Major General Smallwood, to be by them Accounted for and charged
to the United States. —
That the western shore Treasurer pay to John Shaw twenty four
pounds, ten shillings specie due him for Drums and fifes, a Key to the
Iron Chest and Coffins per Accounts passed. —
That the said Treasurer pay to William Smith Esquire one hun-
dred and fourteen pounds, thirteen shillings and eight pence Specie,
out of the twenty thousand pounds appropriated for the payment of
Creditors of a particular description for money lent 11th of May 1780
per Accounts passed. —
That the said Treasurer pay to Gilbert Middleton one hundred
and sixteen pounds, ten shillings and seven pence Specie out of the
Money appropriated for the Barges due him on Account passed.

We have no Objection to your taking in the Order of the 29th
April last, in Favor of Colo Samuel Smith for 3148 Bushels of
Wheat, and setling the Affair in any other Manner you may think
right.

Wednesday 23d October 1782

Summons's issued to Samuel Chew, James Patterson, James
Heighe, Samuel Hance, Isaac Clare, Thomas Gray, and Walter
Smith Esquires of Calvert County to be and appear before the
Governor and Council on the 29th Day of October Instant to Testify
in the Case of the Election for Sheriffs of said County. —
Ordered that the western Shore Treasurer pay to Ridgely & Wil-
mot thirty six pounds, eleven shillings and three pence specie out of
the money appropriated for the Barges due them per Accounts
passed. —

Ordered that the western shore Treasurer pay to Joseph Mayo
three hundred and seventy two pounds, fourteen shillings and two
pence specie agreeable to the Act to adjust the Debts due from this
State per Certificates adjusted 22d Instant.
That the said Treasurer pay to Nicholas Gassaway four hundred
and sixty six pounds, one shilling and seven pence specie agreeable
to the Act aforesaid per Certificates adjusted 16th Inst.
That the said Treasurer pay to George Winters five pounds, three
shillings and seven pence — Andrew Worman fifty pounds, seven
shillings and eight pence — Alexander Ogle sixty four pounds six
