and Means.
Mr. Snowden presented the petition of Elizabeth A. War-
field, to be renewed to Pension list.
Which was read and referred to the Committee on Pen-
sions.
Mr. Vandiver presented the petition of R. R Vandiver and
and 90 others, citizens of Havre de Grace, asking for a law
to prohibit non residents of this State, from taking fish in
the Chesapeake Bay and its Tributaries.
Which was read and referred to the Committee on the
Chesapeake Bay and its Tributaries.
Mr. Loane presentel the petion of Wm. J. Tilghman,
Rev. H. R. Naylor, James Getty, Dr. C. W. Neff and 145
others of Baltimore city, asking lor Local Option.
Which was read and referred to the Committee on Ways
and Means.
On motion of Mr. Waters, of Dorchester, it was
Ordered. That have of absence for two days be granted to
William A. Twilley, Clerk, on important business,
On motion of Mr. Hinks, it was
Ordered, That Mr. Goldsborough be excused from attend-
ance in the House to-day, having been called away on impor-
tant business
On motion of Mr. Robinson, it was
Ordered, That Mr Royer be excused from attendance to-
day, as he is inavoidably detained by urgent private busi-
ness.
On motion of Mr. Vandiver, it was
Ordered, Th.it Mr, Ward, of Cecil, be excused from atten-
dance to-day on account of important business.
On motion of Mr. Smith, of Baltimore county, it was
Ordered, That Mr Curtis be excused trom attendance at
this House on account of not being able to reach Annapolis.
On motion of Mr. Naill, it was
Ordered, That Mr. Koons be granted permission to be ab-
sent from his seat until Wednesday next on important busi-
ness.
On motion of Mr. Rullman,
Leave was granted to the Anne Arundel delegation to in-
troduce a bill to amend Section 30 of Art. 2nd, of the Code of
Public Local Laws, of Anne Arundel county, sub-title "An-
napolis."
