PHILLIPS LEE GOLDSBOROUGH, GOVERNOR. 1721

37. To the bequest contained in the last Will and Testament
of Abraham Lehman, late of Washington County, Maryland, de-
ceased, said bequest being of $500.00, unto the congregation of
the Reform Mennonite Church of Waynesboro, Franklin Coun-
ty, Pa., for such use and benefit as may be directed from time
to time by the Deacons and Ministers thereof.

38. To the bequest of $1,000.00 to the Rev. William J. Kane,
Pastor of St. John's Catholic Church of Frederick, Maryland,
for the purpose of having appropriate masses said for the repose
of the souls of Harriet McCartney and Ellen V. Payne, and for
the souls of the family of said Ellen V. Payne and all of the
souls in Purgatory, which said bequest is contained in the last
Will of Ellen V. Payne, which is recorded in Liber S. D. T. No.
1, folio 151, one of the Will Records in the office of the Regis-
ter of Wills for Frederick County, Maryland; and to the be-
quest of the residue of the estate of Ellen V. Payne, which
amounted to the sum of $5,725.66, to James Gibbons, Roman
Catholic Archbishop of Baltimore, a Corporation sole, to be
paid by him to the Pastor of St. John's Catholic Church, of
Frederick, Maryland, for the purpose of paying off the debt
upon said Church, and the Rectory of said Church, the sur-
plus, after said debts are paid, to be used for the maintenance
and repairs of said Church, which bequest is contained in said
Will of Ellen V. Payne, recorded in Liber S. D. T. No. 1, folio
151, aforesaid; and to the bequest of $100.00 to the Rev. Father
William J. Kane, which is contained in the first Codicil of the
aforesaid Will of Ellen V. Payne.

39. To the following gifts and bequests contained in the last
Will and Testament of Annie V. Groshon, late of Frederick
County, Maryland, deceased: (a) To the gift and bequest of
the sum of $3,000.00 to the Evangelical Lutheran Church at
Oakland, in Garrett County, Maryland; (b) to the gift and be-
quest of the sum of $5,000.00 to the Evangelical Lutheran
Church of Frederick, Maryland; and of the additional sum of
$300.00 to said Evangelical Lutheran Church of Frederick,
Maryland, to be applied for the use and benefit of the Sunday
School of said Church; and (c) to the gift and bequest of the
sum of $1,500.00 to the Rev. U. S. G. Rupp, Pastor of the Evan-
gelical Lutheran Church of Frederick, Maryland.

40. To a Deed from Samuel J. McLain and Hattie J. McLain,
his wife, to Grace Evangelical Lutheran Congregation of Balti-
more County, dated September 2nd, 1913, and recorded among
