AN ACT concerning

Maryland Industrial Development Financing Authority -
Ex Officio Designees

FOR the purpose of authorizing the State Treasurer or the State
Comptroller to name a designee to serve as , from certain
designees, an ex officio member of the Maryland Industrial
Development Financing Authority if the State Treasurer or
the State Comptroller is designated an ex officio member of
the Authority by the Governor.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article - Financial Institutions

13-108.

(a) The Authority consists of the following 9 members:

(1)  7 members appointed by the Secretary with the
approval of the Governor; and

(2)  As ex officio members:

(i) The State Treasurer or the State

Comptroller, as designated by the Governor, OR THE STATE

TREASURER'S OR STATE COMPTROLLER'S DESIGNEE, AS APPLICABLE; and

(ii) The Secretary or the Secretary's designee.

(I)  THE SECRETARY OR THE SECRETARY'S DESIGNEE;
AND

(II)  THE STATE TREASURER OR THE STATE
COMPTROLLER, AS DESIGNATED BY THE GOVERNOR. IF DESIGNATED BY THE
GOVERNOR TO SERVE ON THE BOARD, THE STATE TREASURER OR STATE
COMPTROLLER MAY DESIGNATE THE DEPUTY TREASURER OR DEPUTY
COMPTROLLER, AS APPLICABLE.
