hold the same unto the said party of the second part
Her Executors Administrators and assigns forever and
I do for myself my heirs executors and Administrators
Covenant and agree to and with the said party of the
second part.  Her Executors Administrators and assigns
to warrant and defend the sale of the said property
goods and chattels hereby made unto the said party of the
second part against all and every person and persons whoomsoever
In Witness Whereof I have hereunto set my hand and
seal this third day of April eighteen hundred and fifty eight
Signed sealed and delivered
    in the presence of                        John Nicholson   (seal)
John Ridgely (of Jno) Justice of the peace for H County
State of maryland
                            Howard County to wit:
I hereby certify that on this third day of April Eighteen
hundred and Fifty Eight personally appeared John Nicholson
before the subscriber a Justice of the peace for Howard County aforesaid
and acknowledged the foregoing Bill of Sale to be his act
and at the same time appeared Jemimer Nicholson and made
oath on the Holy Evangely of Almighty God that the consideration
named in the said Bill of Sale is true and bonafide as
therein set forth  In Testimony Whereof I hereunto subscribe my
name on the day and year aforesaid

Received to be Recorded on the 13th day of April 1858 Same day recorded
and Examined per

    Bill of Sale to
Walter Dorsey
I Jane McKim Marriott of Baltimore
City State of Maryland in
consideration of the sum of five
hundred Dollars paid me by Walter
Dorsey of Howard County and state aforesaid the receipt
of which is hereby acknowledged do hereby bargain and
sell to the said Walter Dorsey my negro slaved named
Julia Ann aged about twenty four years for a term
of years to wit to serve until the first day of January in the
year eighteen hundred and sixty eight (1868) and no longer
the said Jane McKim Marriott being entitled to said
slave until the said first day of January eighteen
and sixty eight as will fully appear by reference to a bill
of sale from Isaac C Anderson to Jane McKim Marriott
dated the twenty seventh day of June Eighteen hundred
