Trustee was authorised to make a certain loan from the
assets of the estate of the late Charles Waters to the said
Charles R. Howard on certain Security in said order
specified and in compliance with said order a mortgage
was given by said Charles R Howard and his wife to
said Trustee dated December twenty ninth eighteen hundred
and fifty two recorded among the said Records of
Howard County in Liber W H N No 13 folio 107 in which
mortgage was included a certain negro Slave named henry
and whereas afterward by another order of the said High
Court of Chancery passed in the same case on the seventeenth
of June EIghteen hundred and fifty three the said
Trustee was authorised and directed to sell the said negro
Henry which negro was accordingly sold; and whereas by another
order in the said lease passed by said court on the eleventh
day of November Eighteen hundred and fifty three the said
Trustee was authorised to purchase negro chloe Ann Dent
a slave for a term of years to be conveyed to the said Trustee
on the same terms as the other mortgaged personal property
which was accordingly done by bill of sale from John
N. Denning to said Freeborn G. Waters Trustee dated November
fifteenth eighteen hundred and fifty three and recorded
among the Chattel Records of Baltimore City in Liber E
D No 5 folio 81 and whereas by another order passed in said
case by the Superior Court for Baltimore City on the seventeenth
day of January Eighteen hundred and fifty eight
Thomas Donaldson of Howard County was appointed Trustee
to sell such part of the said mortgaged personal property
as the said Charles R Howard and his wife might not desire to
retain unsold among which mortgaged property were
Chloe Ann Dent and two infant children of hers born since
the date of the said bill of sale whom the said Howard and
wife did not wish to retain; and said last mentioned order authorised
the said Thomas Donaldson Trustee to sell said mortgaged
personal property either at public or private sale as to him
might seem proper and on such terms as to him might seem
proper; and whereas the said Thomas Donaldson Trustee
as aforesaid has in possession of said order sold the said
Chloe Ann Dent and her said Infant children for the sum
of Five hundred Dollars to Ann Hunt of Howard County
    Now therefore I the said Thomas Donaldson of Howard
County aforesaid Trustee as herein before set forth in consideration
of the premises and of the sum of one dollar paid
me by the said Ann Hunt a resident of Ellicotts Mills
in said Howard County do hereby bargain and sell to
