the afd Indictment it is alledged and thereof She putteth herself upon the
Country                                    Christian Culley in p.a psona

    And he who followeth for the Lord prop.ry in like manner Saith that She
is Guilty                                            T francis p Lord prop.ry

    Thereupon Command was given to the Sherf of Kent County that he Immediatly
Cause to Come here twelve &c.a by whome &c.a who neither &c.a to Recognize &c.a
because as well &c.a of which s.d precept the s.d Sherf to wit John Gresham ^Gent.^ now
here at this Day to wit the Eighteenth Day of August Anno Dom. Seventeen
hundred and twenty Seven makes Return that he hath here Ready twelve
&c.a as by his precept he was Commanded and now here afterwards to wit the
Day and year last mentioned Come again the afd Lord prop.ry by Tench
ffrancis his Clerk of Indictments and the afd Christian Culley in her proper
person and the Jurors of that Jury being Impanneled and Called likewise Came
to wit Francis Barney, John Walls, Andrew Tolson, Nicholas Reiley, Thomas
Hynson Jun.r, James Ringgold, Humphrey Younger, Thomas Rush, Richard
Kennard, W.m Crow, George Murphey, and Benjamin Blackiston who
being Duely Elected tryed and Sworn to Say the truth on the premisses upon
their oath do Say that the afd Christian Culley is not Guilty as She Stands
Indicted and by the Justices here this 18.th Day of August Anno Domini
seventeen hundred and twenty ^seven^ that the afd Christian Culley as to the
Indictment afd She go thereof without Day and be therefrom acquitted
also it is Considered that y.e s.d Christian Culley pay the Sume of Seven hundred
and forty one pounds of Tobacco ^Costs^ Accrueing on the premisses afd

    William Murphey Comes into Court and proves on the holy Evangilist of
Almighty God that he has Attended this Court for the Space of one Day as
an Evidence for his Lordship against y.e afd Christian Culley being thereto
lawfully Sumoned whereupon y.e Said Christian Culley is ordered to pay
unto the afd W.m the Sume of thirty pounds of Tobacco for his Attendance
as afd According to Act of Assembly in that Case made and provided

Ordered by the Court here that the afd Mary Spareman
find Security for her appearance at the next Court to
answer unto what Shall be objected against her on his
Lordships behalf and good Behaviour  Thereupon John Wilson of Kent
