490 party to these presents hath hereunto set his hand and seal the Day & Year above written Sealed & Delivered and the Words Mord.a Hamond Seal (his heirs & Assignes in the Seventeenth Line first interlined In the presence of us Robert Dudley James Landery On the back of the aforegoing Deed was thus Endorst Vizt Feb.r the 18.th 1736 Came the within named Mordecai Hammond party to the within Deed and Did acknowledge the Land and Premisses within mentioned to be the right and Estate of the within named Cornelius Howard his Heirs and Assignes for Ever And at the same time Came Frances the Wife of the said Mordecai & did acknowledge that she freely relinquished her right of Dower according to the Directions of the Act of Assembly in Such Cases before me one of his Lordships Justices of the Provincial Court of Maryland Robert Gordon Reced Feb.ry 19.th 1736 of M.r Cornelius Howard for his Lordships use the sum of Four Shillings Sterl (being the Alienation fine on the within Mentioned One hundred Acres of Land) By Virtue of a Commission from Benj.a Tasker Esq.r Agent and Receiver Gen.ll to his said Lordship P Rich.d Dorsey 5 1/2 side Recorded Feb.ry 19.th 1736 Bond Ex.d This Indenture made the thirtieth Day of March in the Year of our Lord One thousand Seven hundred & thirty seven Between Jacob Henderson of Prince Georges County Clerk of the one Part & his Excellency Sam.l Ogle Esq.r & Benjamin Tasker Esq.r of the City of Annapolis Esq.r of the other Part Whereas Charles late Lord Baron of Baltimore & Lord Prop.r of the Province of Maryland by his Letters Patents under the Great Seal of the s.d Province bearing Date on or about the tenth Day of August which was in the Year of our Lord one thousand Six hundred & eighty three Did thereby give & Grant unto Robert Carvil then & late of Saint Marys County Gentl his heirs & assigns for ever All that Tract or Parcell of Land Called Catton then Lying in Calvert County but now in Prince Georges County According to the Meets & Bounds thereof in the said Letters Patents Described & Expressed & then Said to Contain five (hundred) |
