                                    On the Back of the Aforegoing Deed was thus Endorsed
       Memod.m   That on the 22 of Dec.r Anno Dom Seventeen Hundred and
       Thirty Six Came the within Named the Reverend M.r Joseph Hooper
       and Acknowledged the within Deed According to Act of Assembly before
       ^me^ One of the Provincial Majstrates                           Robert Gordon

Ex.d This Indenture made the 18.th Day of February Anno Dom seventeen hundred
       and thirty six seven Between Mordecai Hammond of Annarundell County
       in the Province of Maryland Merch.t of the one part and Corneilous
       Howard of Baltemore County planter of the other part Witnesseth that the
       said Mordecai Hammond for & in Consideration of the sum of twenty pounds
       Sterling money of great Britain to him in hand paid and satisfyed by the
       said Cornelius Howard the receipt whereof he doth hereby acknowledge and
       himself therewith fully satisfyed and Contented Have given granted bargained
       Sold Enfeoffed and Confirmed and doth by these presents give Grant bargaine
       sell Enfeoffe and Confirm unto the said Cornelius Howard his heirs & Assignes
       for Ever the following tract of Land Called Hurds Camp lying in Baltemore
       County in the Woods Containing & Laid out for one hundred Acres of Land
       more or less Together with all & singular the Houses Buildings fencings
       and appurtenances to the said tract of Land belonging or in any wise
       appertaining to him the said Corneilous Howard his Heirs and Assigns
       and to his and their proper use and behoofe for Ever and to no other use
       meaning or Intent whatsoever And the said Mordecai Hammond doth
       for himself his Heirs Executors and Adm.rs Covenant promise grant and
       agree to and with the said Corneilous Howard his Heirs and Assignes
       that he the said Mordecai Hammond shall and will from time to time
       and at all times hereafter warrant and Defend the said tract of Land
       hereby intended to be bargained and sold with the Appurtenances as
       before described to him the said Corneilous Howard his Heirs and Assignes
       for Ever against him the said Mordecai Hammond or from any other
       person or persons Claiming by from or under him his heirs Executors
       Adm.rs or Assignes In Witness whereof the said Mordecai Hammond
