CHARTER AMENDMENT
No. 1977-6

RESOLUTION of The Commissioners of Vienna adopted
pursuant to the authority of Article 11E of the Constitution
of Maryland and Section 13 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1957 Edition, as amended) titled "Corporations — Municipal"
to amend the Charter of The Commissioners of Vienna by
repealing and reenacting, with amendments, Subsection (a)
entitled "Procedure in making" of Section 22—20 entitled
"Levy" of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland entitled
"Dorchester County", subtitled "Vienna" to remove the
limitation placed on tax levies.

Dorchester County, repealed and reenacted, with amendments.

RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, a consent for annexation of land adjacent and
contiguous to the present Southwesterly boundary of the City
of Vienna has been granted by certain owners of the land
sought to be annexed pursuant to Section 19, Article 23A of
the Annotated Code of Maryland, and

WHEREAS, the presiding officer of The Commissioners of
Vienna has caused to be made a verification that the area
proposed to be annexed pursuant to said consent is, in fact,
contiguous and adjacent to the existing corporate area and
that the owners of said land, there being only one, owns at
least 25% of the assessed valuation and does otherwise
conform to the requisites of Section 19 of Article 23A.

Dorchester County, repealed and reenacted, with amendments.

Effective Date August 1, 1977]
